Clause 30

Saving and transitional provisions

(1)

Despite sections 2(b), (c), (f) and (g) and 20(1), sections 2 and 80H of the principal Act as in force immediately before the date of commencement of sections 2(b), (c), (f) and (g) and 20(1) continue to apply in respect of every cleaning business licence that was granted or renewed before that date and is valid on that date, until the expiry or revocation of that cleaning business licence.

Despite section 18(a), an application for a cleaning business licence that is made under section 80F of the principal Act as in force immediately before the date of commencement of section 18(a) and is pending on that date, is treated as an application for a prescribed class of cleaning business licence under section 80F of the principal Act as in force on or after that date.

(3)

Despite section 27, section 95 of the principal Act as in force immediately before the date of commencement of section 27 continues to apply in respect of any offence under the principal Act committed before that date.

(4)

For a period of 2 years after the date of commencement of any provision of this Act, the Minister may, by regulations, prescribe such additional provisions of a saving or transitional nature consequent on the enactment of that provision as the Minister may consider necessary or expedient.
