Amendment of section 24B
In the principal Act, in section 24B —
(a)
renumber the section as subsection (1) of that section; and
(b)
after subsection (1), insert —“(2) Where, under subsection (1), the Board carries out, or directs the immediate execution of, any work or the doing of any act authorised under section 33(2)(b), the Board may recover, as a debt due to it, from the person who caused the hindrance or obstruction, or likely hindrance or obstruction, mentioned in section 33, any cost or expense reasonably incurred by the Board as a result of the work or act.”.
