Amendment of section 23B

In the principal Act, in section 23B —

(a)

in subsections (1) and (2), after “master,”, insert “operator,”;

(b)

in subsection (1)(a) and (b), after “complete”, insert “and accurate”;

(c)

in subsection (1)(c), replace “in relation to every passenger disembarking in Singapore,” with “a complete and accurate list of all passengers disembarking in Singapore, containing”; and

(d)

replace subsections (3) and (4) with —“(3) Any person who contravenes subsection (1)(a), (b) or (c) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000.(4) The offence under subsection (3) is a strict liability offence.”.
