Amendment of section 100
In the principal Act, in section 100 —
(a)
in the section heading, after “Solicitor’s”, insert “or lawyer (NP)’s”;
(b)
in subsection (1), replace “thereunder” with “for the purpose of this section”;
(c)
after subsection (1), insert —“(1A) A lawyer (NP) may, subject to this section and any rules made for the purpose of this section, apply to the court to have his or her name removed from the roll of lawyers (NP).”;
(d)
in subsection (2), replace “such application” with “application under this section”; and
(e)
in subsection (6)(a), replace “the roll” with “the roll of advocates and solicitors or the roll of lawyers (NP), as the case may be”.
