Amendment of section 35
In the principal Act, in section 35 —
(a)
after subsection (4), insert —“(4A) A licensee shall be guilty of an offence if the licensee, without reasonable excuse, demands payment from a borrower of any sum (not being a sum for or on account of stamp duties or fees payable by or under this Act or any other written law) on account of costs, charges or expenses other than or in excess of the permitted fees.”; and
(b)
in subsection (5), after “subsection (4)”, insert “or (4A)”.
