New section 41A
In the principal Act, after section 41, insert —“Extension of time41A.—
(1)
A person who, in any particular case, is unable to do any thing that the person is required to do under Part 3, 3A, 3B, 3C or 3D (including any direction or order issued under those Parts) within the time specified for it may apply in writing to the Commissioner for an extension of time.(2) The Commissioner may grant an extension of time (whether for the same or less than the period of extension applied for), upon being satisfied that there are good reasons to do so.”.
