Clause 40

The period of 2 years mentioned in section 17(3)(b) of the Community Disputes Resolution Act 2015 in respect of a cause of action that has accrued before the date of commencement of section 16(b) of this Act is to be extended by 6 months from the date of commencement of that provision.

Despite section 37(c), section 65D(6) of the Police Force Act 2004 as in force immediately before the date of commencement of section 37(c) of this Act continues to apply to or in relation to any act or omission by a civilian police assistant before that date.

For a period of 2 years after the date of commencement of any provision of this Act, the Minister charged with the responsibility for that provision may, by regulations, prescribe such additional provisions of a saving or transitional nature consequent on the enactment of that provision as the Minister may consider necessary or expedient.
