Amendment of section 3

In the Customs Act 1960 (called in this Act the Customs Act), in section 3(1) —

(a)

delete “, unless the context otherwise requires”;

(b)

after the definition of “authentication code”, insert —“ “auxiliary police officer” means an auxiliary police officer appointed under the Police Force Act 2004;”; and

(c)

after the definition of “master”, insert —“ “mobile communication device” means —

(a)

a mobile phone; or

(b)

any wireless handheld device (such as a tablet computer) or wearable device (such as a smart watch) designed or capable of being used for a communication function;”.
