Clause 4

In the Customs Act, in section 91, after subsection (2), insert —“(2A) The Director‑General may authorise in writing an auxiliary police officer who is employed on any duty or service relating to customs to exercise any power under this section with respect to such duty or service. (2B) An auxiliary police officer authorised under subsection (2A) is deemed to be a proper officer of customs for the purposes of this section.”.
