Amendment of section 29

In the principal Act, in section 29 —

(a)

in subsection (1)(a), after “any person”, insert “or class of persons”;

(b)

in subsection (1), replace paragraph (b) with —“(b)in respect of any person or class of persons on board a vessel or in a vehicle —

(i)

subject that person or class of persons to medical examination upon arrival in Singapore; and (ii)impose any requirement relating to the medical examination that the Director‑General of Public Health, the Director‑General, Food Administration or a Port Health Officer thinks fit;”;

(c)

in subsection (1)(d), after “any other person”, insert “or class of persons”;

(d)

in subsection (1)(d), replace “persons” with “any person or class of persons”; and

(e)

in subsection (2), after “Any person”, insert “(including any person in a class of persons)”.
