Replacement of section 143
In the Companies Act, replace section 143 with —“Change of situation of registered office143.—
(1)
Where there is a change in the situation of the registered office of a company (including the address and designation of the situation or address of the registered office), the company must lodge with the Registrar a notice of the change within 14 days after the change.(2) If default is made in complying with subsection (1), the company and every officer of the company who is in default shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 and also to a default penalty.”.
