Amendment of section 6
In the Protection from Harassment Act 2014, in section 6 —
replace subsection (1A) with —“(1A) An individual or entity that, by any means, publishes any identity information of a public servant or public service worker or a related person of a public servant or public service worker —
with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress to the public servant or public service worker; and
either —
with intent to prevent or deter the public servant or public service worker from discharging the duty of that public servant or public service worker; or
in consequence of anything done or attempted to be done by the public servant or public service worker in the lawful discharge of the duty of that public servant or public service worker,shall be guilty of an offence.”; and
in subsection (1A)(a) (as amended by paragraph (a)), replace “or distress” with “, distress or humiliation”.
