Clause 72

Amendment of section 2

In the Vandalism Act 1966, in section 2, after the definition of “act of vandalism”, insert —“ “designated private property” means —

(a)

any private property that is of national, cultural or religious significance, including (but not limited to) —

(i)

any national monument;

(ii)

any place of worship;

(iii)

any place of sepulture;

(iv)

any place set apart for the performance of funeral rites; and

(v)

any place set apart as a depository for the remains of the dead; and

(b)

any private property that is prescribed by order made under section 9;”.
