Clause 65

Powers of Appeal Committees

(1)

An Appeal Committee may do all or any of the following:

(a)

request any person to provide such information or produce such document, record or article in the possession or under the control of that person, as the Appeal Committee considers relevant for the purposes of the proceedings;

(b)

request the Commissioner to seek and receive any information under section 24(2) or exercise any power under section 49 or 51, on any matter the Appeal Committee considers relevant for the purposes of the proceedings.

(2)

The Appeal Committee may inspect, keep or make copies of any document, record or article provided or produced pursuant to a request under subsection (1)(a) or obtained by the Commissioner pursuant to a request under subsection (1)(b).

(3)

Subject to any other provisions of this Act, an Appeal Committee may regulate its own procedure.
