Amendment of section 139
In the Road Traffic Act, in section 139, after subsection (1), insert —“(1A) A document signed or purporting to be signed by the Registrar and certifying any information relating to any payment transaction details of a vehicle (including any information relating to the location of a vehicle) —
(a)
collected by any device or appurtenance installed in or on the vehicle under rules made under section 34D(1) or facilities mentioned in section 34C; and
(b)
recorded in the systems maintained by the Authority under rules made under section 34D(1),is admissible in any legal proceedings and is prima facie evidence of the facts stated in the document.”.
