This Act may be cited as the Holidays (Amendment) Act, 1968, and shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint.

Repeal and re-enactment of the Schedule

The Schedule to the Holidays Act, 1966, is hereby repealed and the following substituted therefor: —“THE SCHEDULE(Sections 3 and 8).New Year’s Day.Chinese New Year (two days).Hari Raya Puasa.Hari Raya Haji.Good Friday.Labour Day.Vesak Day.National Day.Deepavali.Christmas Day.”.
