Short title and commencement
This Act may be cited as the Housing and Development (Amendment) Act, 1969, and shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint.

This Act may be cited as the Housing and Development (Amendment) Act, 1969, and shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint.
Amendment of section 6
Section 6 of the Housing and Development Ordinance, 1959, is hereby amended by deleting subsection (2) thereof and substituting therefor the following: —“(2) Members of the Board shall hold office for such period as the Minister may decide, not exceeding three years from the date of their respective appointments, and shall be eligible for reappointment on completion of such period.”.
Amendment of section 46
Section 46 of the Housing and Development Ordinance, 1959, is hereby amended —
by inserting immediately after the word “building” appearing in the first and in the fifth lines of subsection (1) thereof the words “or buildings”;
by inserting immediately after the word “building” appearing in the third and in the fifth lines of subsection (2) thereof the words “or buildings”;
by deleting subsection (5) thereof and substituting therefor the following: —“(5) A management corporation established under the provisions of subsection (1) of this section shall not be constituted for the purposes of this Ordinance until the Minister makes an order which shall be published in the Gazette so constituting it.”; and
by inserting immediately after the word “building” appearing in the second and in the third lines of subsection (6) thereof the words “or buildings”.
