This Act may be cited as the Judges’ Remuneration (Amendment) Act 1989 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st April 1989.

Clause 2

Amendment of section 2

Section 2 of the Judges’ Remuneration Act is amended by deleting subsection (1) and substituting the following subsection:“(1) There shall be paid to —

(a)

the Chief Justice an annual pensionable salary of $347,400; and

(b)

every other Judge of the Supreme Court an annual pensionable salary of $234,600.”.
