Short title and commencement
This Act is the Judges’ Remuneration (Amendment) Act 2019 and comes into operation on a date that the Minister appoints by notification in the Gazette.

Short title and commencement
This Act is the Judges’ Remuneration (Amendment) Act 2019 and comes into operation on a date that the Minister appoints by notification in the Gazette.
Amendment of long title
The long title to the Judges’ Remuneration Act (called in this Act the principal Act) is amended by deleting the words “Judges of the Supreme Court” and substituting the words “Supreme Court Judges”.
Amendment of section 1A
Section 1A of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words “a Judge of Appeal” in the definition of “judicial office” and substituting the words “a Justice of the Court of Appeal, a Judge of the Appellate Division”.
Amendment of section 2
Section 2 of the principal Act is amended —
by deleting the words “every Judge of Appeal and every other Judge of the Supreme Court” in subsection (1) and substituting the words “every Justice of the Court of Appeal, every Judge of the Appellate Division and every Judge of the High Court”; and
by deleting the words “Judge of the Supreme Court” in subsections (2) and (3) and substituting in each case the words “Supreme Court Judge”.
Amendment of section 4
Section 4(7) of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words “of the Supreme Court” in paragraphs (b) and (c).
