Medicines (Export Licence for Psychotropic Substances) Regulations is Singapore Subsidiary Legislation, cited as Subsidiary Legislation MA-RG9 1975, currently marked in force and first recorded in 1975.
Citation
These Regulations may be cited as the Medicines (Export Licence for Psychotropic Substances) Regulations.
Definitions
In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires —“export” means to take or cause to be taken out of Singapore by land, air or water, otherwise than in transit;“export licence” means a licence granted by the licensing authority under regulation 4(2);“psychotropic substance” means a substance specified in the Schedule.
“export” means to take or cause to be taken out of Singapore by land, air or water, otherwise than in transit;
“export licence” means a licence granted by the licensing authority under regulation 4(2);
Licence to export psychotropic substance
A person must not export any consignment of —
a psychotropic substance; or
a medicinal product containing any psychotropic substance,unless —
the person possesses a valid export licence for that consignment; and
the export of that consignment is in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the export licence.
Application for export licence
An application for an export licence shall be made to the licensing authority in such form and manner as the licensing authority may require.
Upon receipt of an application under paragraph (1), the licensing authority may, in his discretion, grant an export licence subject to such terms and conditions as the licensing authority thinks fit.
Fee
The fee for an export licence shall be $111.
There shall be no refund of any fee paid under these Regulations.
Penalty
Any person who contravenes or fails to comply with regulation 3 shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
