No. S 217Revised Edition of the Laws Act(Chapter 275)Order under Section 11(3)Whereas pursuant to section 10 of the Revised Edition of the Laws Act, the Law Revision Commissioners have published in loose-leaf form the Legal Profession Act (Chapter 161) as in force on 1st May 2009:And Whereas it is provided under section 11(3) of the Revised Edition of the Laws Act that the Commissioners shall transmit to the President a copy of the loose-leaf edition of the Legal Profession Act and the President may thereupon, by order published in the Gazette, specify that the loose-leaf edition of the Legal Profession Act shall, in all courts and for all purposes, be the sole and only proper law of Singapore in respect of that Act:Now therefore it is hereby ordered by the person exercising the functions of the office of President that the loose-leaf edition of the Legal Profession Act shall, with effect from 1st June 2009, be the sole and only proper law of Singapore in respect of that Act.Dated this 12th day of May 2009.By Command, LAU WAH MING Secretary to the Cabinet, Singapore.[AG/LLRD/1/2009]
