Citation and commencement

Citation and commencement
This Order is the Road Traffic (Police Operations Vehicle Drivers — Exemption) Order 2020 and comes into operation on 1 May 2020.
Exemption
Section 120(3) of the Act does not apply to a police officer when —
driving a police operations vehicle, being a motor vehicle owned by the Government for the use of the Singapore Police Force for the purposes of maintaining law and order; and
responding to an emergency.
In sub‑paragraph (1)(b), “emergency” means an actual or imminent event that requires immediate action from a police officer and that causes, or threatens to cause —
any harm or danger to the life, health or safety of any individual;
any destruction of, or damage to, any property; or
any harm or danger to the health or safety of the public.
