These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Registration of Trishaws) Rules.

Subregulation 1

Suggest a correction

Every travel agent, being the owner of any trishaw, who intends to use the trishaw for the purpose of any tour conducted by him shall apply to the Registrar for the registration of the trishaw.

Subregulation 2

Suggest a correction

A travel agent may make a single application under paragraph (1) for the registration of a batch of 50 trishaws or less.

Subregulation 3

Suggest a correction

Every application for the registration of a trishaw shall be made in such form and manner as may be required by the Registrar.

Subregulation 4

Suggest a correction

The fee for the registration of a trishaw shall be —

(a)

where the application is for the registration of not more than 33 trishaws, $15 for each trishaw; or

(b)

where the application is for the registration of a batch of 34 to 50 trishaws, $500 for the batch.

Subregulation 5

Suggest a correction

The Registrar may, in his discretion, waive in whole or in part the registration fee referred to in paragraph (4) in respect of any trishaw or batch of trishaws.

In this paragraph —

“travel agent” means a person who is licensed to carry on the business of a travel agent under the Travel Agents Act 1975;
