In this Order, “exempt trailer” means a trailer, container trailer, low loader or flat‑bed trailer, the maximum laden weight of which exceeds 5,000 kilograms.

Section 10B(1) of the Act does not apply to a person applying for the registration of an exempt trailer.

Section 19(3)(f) of the Act does not apply to an exempt trailer.

Rule 28(1) of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) Rules (R 5) does not apply to a person where the heavy vehicle to be transferred to the person or registered in the person’s name is an exempt trailer.

Rule 3(1) of the Road Traffic (Parking of Heavy Vehicles) Rules 2006 (G.N. No. S 61/2006) does not apply to a person who parks an exempt trailer.
