Clause 1

Short title

This Act may be cited as the Science Council of Singapore (Amendment) Act, 1972.

Clause 2

Amendment of section 13

Subsection (1) of section 13 of the Science Council of Singapore Act is hereby amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “January” appearing in the first line thereof and substituting therefor the word “April”; and

(b)

by deleting the expression “31st day of March” appearing in the second line thereof and substituting therefor the expression “30th day of June”.

Clause 3

Amendment of section 14

Subsection (1) of section 14 of the Science Council of Singapore Act is hereby amended by deleting the word “December” appearing in the last line thereof and substituting therefor the word “March”.

Clause 4

Operation

The amendments introduced by sections 2 and 3 of this Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of January 1969.
