Visits by police

On production of an order from an Assistant Superintendent of Police or a Magistrate, any police officer may, at any reasonable time, visit any prison for any one or more of the following purposes:

(a)

identifying an offender;

(b)

photographing and taking the particulars of a prisoner who has been directed to be subject to the supervision of the police;

(c)

taking a statement from a prisoner considered necessary for any investigation under Part 4 of the Criminal Procedure Code 2010.
