In this Order, “FIFA World Cup 2026” means the international football tournament that is organised by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association and is held during the period from 11 June 2026 to 20 July 2026 (both dates inclusive).

Exemption for owner, etc., of venue

The following persons are exempt from section 3 of the Act in respect of the display of any flag specified in the Schedule for the duration between 29 June 2026 and 20 July 2026 (both dates inclusive) at a place where a live broadcast of one or more football matches of the FIFA World Cup 2026 is provided, or allowed to be provided, to the public or a class of the public by a person who is the owner, tenant, lessee, occupier or person in charge of that place:

(a)

any owner, tenant, lessee, occupier or person in charge of that place;

(b)

any individual who is employed or engaged by a person mentioned in sub-paragraph (a) to display the flag.

Exemption for person watching or observing live broadcast

A person is exempt from section 3 of the Act in respect of the display of any flag specified in the Schedule at a place mentioned in paragraph 3 for the duration of a football match mentioned in that paragraph if the person —

(a)

is watching or observing the live broadcast of the football match; and

(b)

is not a person mentioned in paragraph 3.
