The following provisions of the Act and rules shall not apply to any golf buggy used within the area in Sentosa designated as “Sentosa Cove” in the Sentosa Development Corporation (Resort Area) Notification (Cap. 291, N 1) which complies with the conditions set out in sub-paragraph (2):

(a)

Part I, sections 90 and 91 of the Act;

(b)

Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Construction and Use) Rules (R 9);

(c)

Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Lighting) Rules (R 10); and

(d)

Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Compulsory Inspection) Rules (R 26).

Subregulation 2

Suggest a correction

The conditions referred to in sub-paragraph (1) are —

(a)

there is in force in relation to the use of the golf buggy by any person such policy of insurance in respect of third-party risks arising out of its use in respect of death or bodily injury; and

(b)

the policy of insurance referred to in sub-paragraph (a) must be issued by an insurer who at the time the policy is issued is lawfully carrying on insurance business in Singapore.
