The weight transmitted by more than 2 wheels of a heavy motor car, motor car or trailer, whether laden or unladen, to any strip of the road surface upon which the vehicle rests contained between any 2 parallel lines drawn 600 millimetres apart on that surface at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle shall not exceed 12 metric tons.
