Standards for exhaust emission for motor cycle and scooter
Subregulation 1
Every motor cycle and scooter to be registered for the first time in Singapore on or after 31st January 2008 shall conform to the relevant standard for exhaust emission prescribed by the Environmental Protection and Management (Vehicular Emissions) Regulations (Cap. 94A, Rg 6).
Subregulation 2
The Registrar shall not approve an application made on or after 31st January 2008 for the first registration in Singapore of a motor cycle or scooter unless he is satisfied that the motor cycle or scooter conforms to the relevant standard for exhaust emission prescribed by the Environmental Protection and Management (Vehicular Emissions) Regulations for that motor cycle or scooter.
Subregulation 3
The Registrar may, in his discretion, exempt any motor cycle or scooter from this rule.
