Regulation 48
General construction
Subregulation 1
Every vehicle, including all bodywork, upholstery, fittings and accessories shall —
(a)
be soundly and properly constructed of suitable materials;
(b)
be well finished and in good and serviceable condition; and
(c)
be of such design that it is capable of withstanding the loads and stress likely to be met with in the normal operation of the vehicle.
Subregulation 2
The Registrar may require an owner of a vehicle to furnish such evidence that the vehicle complies with this rule.
