Handrails and handstraps
Subregulation 1
Every vehicle which is designed and constructed to convey standing passengers shall have within the vehicle, a sufficient number of handrails and handstraps attached to the roof thereof.
Subregulation 2
Every handrail fitted to a vehicle, registered after 1st January 1975, shall be not less than 30 millimetres in diameter and shall be covered with a plastic sheath.
Subregulation 3
Every handstrap fitted to a vehicle shall be attached to a handrail in such manner as not to enable it to slide along the handrail.
