These Rules are the Road Traffic (Power-Assisted Bicycles and Personal Mobility Devices) (Enforcement) Rules 2018 and come into operation on 1 May 2018.

A person making a claim under section 95B(1)(ba) of the Act to a seized non‑compliant power‑assisted bicycle, a non-compliant personal mobility device or a non‑compliant mobility vehicle to the Authority must do so either by post to the address as stated at the Authority’s official website at http://www.lta.gov.sg or by e‑mail to feedback@lta.gov.sg.

A person, when making a claim in accordance with paragraph (1), must provide to the Authority —

(a)

all documents that are relied on to prove that he or she owns the seized non‑compliant power‑assisted bicycle, non‑compliant personal mobility device or non‑compliant mobility vehicle; and

(b)

such other documents as the Authority may require the person to provide to prove that he or she owns the seized non‑compliant power‑assisted bicycle, non‑compliant personal mobility device or non‑compliant mobility vehicle.

Subregulation 3

Suggest a correction

The documents mentioned in paragraph (2) —

(a)

may be provided in either physical or electronic form; and

(b)

may be either original documents or copies of such original documents.

Subregulation 4

Suggest a correction

Where a person making a claim provides copies of original documents, whether in physical or electronic form, the Authority may require the person to produce the original document from which the copy was made.
