Regulation 2
Definition
In these Rules, “piranha” means the species of fish called piranha.
Regulation 3
Ban on keeping, etc., of piranha
A person must not keep, breed, sell, purchase, or import or export any piranha.
Regulation 4
Ban on releasing piranha into river, etc.
A person must not release any piranha into any stream, river, canal, channel, watercourse, reservoir, lake or other body of water.
Regulation 5
Penalty
A person who contravenes rule 3 or 4 shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.
