Citation
These Regulations may be cited as the Singapore Armed Forces (State Marine Ensign) Regulations.
Certificate
The Chief of Navy may, if he thinks fit, issue a certificate in respect of any vessel to which this regulation applies.
This regulation applies to vessels —
whether or not they belong to the Government;
in the possession, control or occupancy of the Singapore Armed Forces; and
used or operated by the Singapore Armed Forces for non-commercial purposes,but does not apply to warships.
The certificate referred to in paragraph (1) shall —
be in the form set out in the Schedule; and
be valid for such period as the Chief of Navy may specify in the certificate.
State Marine Ensign and carrying of certificate
The master of a vessel in respect of which a certificate under regulation 2(1) has been issued shall ensure that —
the vessel wears the State Marine Ensign; and
the certificate is carried on board the vessel.
