No. S 539Revised Edition of the Laws Act(CHAPTER 275)Revised Edition of the Laws (Section 17(8)) (No. 2) Notification 2014Whereas under section 17(5) of the Revised Edition of the Laws Act, the Law Revision Commissioners have caused to be published in loose-leaf form the 2014 Revised Edition of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) Rules (R 5) (S 262/72) made under the Road Traffic Act (Chapter 276), as in force on 1st August 2014:And Whereas pursuant to section 17(8) of the Revised Edition of the Laws Act, the Law Revision Commissioners may, by notification in the Gazette, specify that the 2014 Revised Edition of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) Rules shall, in all courts and for all purposes, be the sole and only proper Statute Book of Singapore in respect of that piece of subsidiary legislation: Now therefore it is hereby specified by the Law Revision Commissioners that the 2014 Revised Edition of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) Rules shall, with effect from 22nd August 2014, be the sole and only proper Statute Book of Singapore in respect of that piece of subsidiary legislation.Made this 6th day of August 2014.V K RAJAH SCChairman,Law Revision Commission.[AG/LLRD/RSL/275/2014/1 Vol. 1]
