No. S 752Application of English Law Act(Chapter 7A)Order under Section 9 (3)Whereas pursuant to section 9(1) of the Application of English Law Act, the Law Revision Commissioners have prepared and published a revised edition of the Maritime Conventions Act 1911 in loose-leaf form:And Whereas under section 9(3) of the Application of English Law Act, the Commissioners shall transmit to the President a copy of the revised edition of the Maritime Conventions Act 1911 and the President may thereupon, by order published in the Gazette, specify that the revised edition of the Maritime Conventions Act 1911 shall, in all courts and for all purposes, be the sole and only proper law of Singapore in respect of that enactment:Now therefore it is hereby ordered by the President that the revised edition of the Maritime Conventions Act 1911 shall, with effect from 31st December 2004, be the sole and only proper law of Singapore in respect of that enactment.Dated this 6th day of December 2004.By Command,LAU WAH MINGSecretary to the Cabinet, Singapore.[AG/REV/ACTS/1/2004]
