Definitions
In these Regulations —“collaborative practice agreement” and “collaborative prescribing practitioner” have the meanings given by regulation 2 of the Healthcare Services (Collaborative Prescribing Service) Regulations 2023 (G.N. No. S 398/2023);“registered dentist” has the meaning given by section 2 of the Dental Registration Act 1999;“registered medical practitioner” has the meaning given by section 2(1) of the Medical Registration Act 1997.
“collaborative practice agreement” and “collaborative prescribing practitioner” have the meanings given by regulation 2 of the Healthcare Services (Collaborative Prescribing Service) Regulations 2023 (G.N. No. S 398/2023);
“registered dentist” has the meaning given by section 2 of the Dental Registration Act 1999;
“registered medical practitioner” has the meaning given by section 2(1) of the Medical Registration Act 1997.
Authorised consumption of specified psychoactive substance
Despite section 19E of the Act, a person (X) may consume a specified psychoactive substance if —
the specified psychoactive substance is consumed for medical or dental purposes; (b)the specified psychoactive substance is not consumed using a Part 3A product; and
the specified psychoactive substance is consumed by X in either of the following circumstances:
the specified psychoactive substance is administered to X by —
a registered medical practitioner;
a registered dentist;
a collaborative prescribing practitioner practising in accordance with the collaborative practice agreement applicable to him or her; or
any other person who is acting in accordance with the directions of any of the persons mentioned in sub‑paragraph (A), (B) or (C);
the specified psychoactive substance is consumed by X in accordance with the directions of —
a registered medical practitioner;
a registered dentist; or
a collaborative prescribing practitioner practising in accordance with the collaborative practice agreement applicable to him or her.
