Merchant Shipping Act (Chapter 179)and Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) Regulations (Rg 11) Authorisation to Extend Expired CertificatesN 3G.N. No. S 108/1976REVISED EDITION 1990(25th March 1992)[21st May 1976]The Minister for Communications has authorised —

(a)

the Director of Marine and all officers in the Foreign Service who are performing consular functions abroad to extend the validity of any expired certificates; and

(b)

the organisations set out in the Schedule to extend the validity of expired Cargo Ship Safety Construction Certificates,under Regulation 14(d) and (f) of Chapter I of the Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) Regulations.
