Definitions
In this Notification —“E.R.P. 2.0 system” means the Land Transport Authority Global Navigation Satellite Systems based road‑user charging system known as the Next‑Generation Electronic Road Pricing System;“in-vehicle unit” means a radio‑communication device that —
is, or is to be, installed in a vehicle, and which communicates with the E.R.P. 2.0 system using any radio frequency band specified in the Schedule; and
is registered for sale under regulation 20(6) of the Telecommunications (Dealers) Regulations (Rg 6);“Land Transport Authority” means the Land Transport Authority of Singapore established by section 3 of the Land Transport Authority of Singapore Act 1995.

“in-vehicle unit” means a radio‑communication device that —
is, or is to be, installed in a vehicle, and which communicates with the E.R.P. 2.0 system using any radio frequency band specified in the Schedule; and
is registered for sale under regulation 20(6) of the Telecommunications (Dealers) Regulations (Rg 6);
“Land Transport Authority” means the Land Transport Authority of Singapore established by section 3 of the Land Transport Authority of Singapore Act 1995.
Exemption in respect of sale, etc., of in-vehicle unit
Subject to sub‑paragraph (3), section 54(1)(a) of the Act does not apply to any person in respect of the sale, offer for sale or possession for sale of an in‑vehicle unit.
Subject to sub‑paragraph (3), the Telecommunications (Dealers) Regulations do not apply to any person in respect of the sale, offer for sale or possession for sale of an in‑vehicle unit.
Sub‑paragraphs (1) and (2) do not apply to a person who sells an in‑vehicle unit (that is not already installed in a vehicle) to the Land Transport Authority or imports for sale, offers for sale or possesses for sale such an in‑vehicle unit for the purposes of sale to the Land Transport Authority.
