Citation and commencement
These Rules may be cited as the Casino Control (Proceedings of Authority) Rules 2008 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2008.

Time limit for decision‑making without meeting

The Chairman may specify the time by which the members of the Authority have to sign or approve in writing a document containing a resolution.

Regulation 5
Lapsing of motion

A motion for decision by the Authority lapses if ––
(a)
the Chairman or the member presiding at a meeting of the Authority declines to exercise a casting vote in a case of an equality of votes; or
(b)
in a case where the decision is to be passed in the manner described in section 31 of the Public Sector (Governance) Act 2018 (Act 5 of 2018) — the time specified by the Chairman under rule 3 ends before the resolution is passed.
