Citation and commencement
These Regulations are the Public Order and Safety (Special Powers) Regulations 2018 and come into operation on 16 May 2018.
Emergency service agencies
For the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of “emergency service agency” in section 2(1) of the Act, the following public authorities are each prescribed to be an emergency service agency:
the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore established under the repealed Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore Act (Cap. 41, 1985 Ed.) as in force before 1 July 2009 and continued by section 3 of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore Act (Cap. 41);
the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore established under section 4 of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Act (Cap. 170A);
the National Environment Agency established under section 3 of the National Environment Agency Act (Cap. 195).
Appeal against temporary restraining order
For the purposes of section 49(2) of the Act, an appeal to the Minister against the making of a temporary restraining order or the variation of such an order must be made —
in writing; and
within 7 days after the order or variation is given to the appellant.
