Section 8 of the Act does not apply in relation to the provision of a community hospital service by a person who holds a valid licence to provide a contingency care service in relation to the provision of a healthcare service that is provided to an inpatient who, having been treated for any disease or trauma or having undergone surgery, needs to receive constant medical oversight by a medical practitioner, for the purpose of assisting the inpatient in regaining his or her health.
