Exemption for premises used to provide shared stay‑in caregiving services

Subregulation 1

Section 6 of the Act does not apply in relation to any premises that are used by a scheme operator to provide residential accommodation to any individual under the shared stay‑in caregiving services scheme.

Section 6 of the Act does not apply in relation to any premises used by a person appointed under the Enabled Living Programme to operate an adult disability home for the purposes of the Enabled Living Programme.

In sub‑paragraph (1), “Enabled Living Programme” means the scheme known by that name and operated by the Ministry of Social and Family Development and the Housing and Development Board, to provide residential accommodation to adults with disabilities who require minimal support and supervision.

Section 6 of the Act does not apply in relation to any premises that are used to provide residential accommodation and biopsychosocial intervention to any individual, for the primary purpose of supporting the reintegration of the residents who are ex‑offenders and recovering drug addicts to society.
