Section 20

Correction of appropriate register

(1)

The Registrar shall —

(a)

insert in the appropriate register any alteration which may come to his knowledge in the name or address of any registered dentist;

(b)

correct any error in any entry in the appropriate register;

(c)

remove from the appropriate register the name of any person —

(i)

whose name is ordered to be removed under any provision of this Act; or

(ii)

who is deceased;

(d)

insert in the appropriate register any alteration in the qualifications or additional qualifications of a registered dentist; and

(e)

remove from the appropriate register the name of any person who has requested and shown sufficient reason for his name to be removed from that register, unless a complaint has been made, or an inquiry has, or investigations or proceedings have, commenced under Part V against that person.

(2)

The Registrar may remove from the appropriate register the name of any person who has not renewed his practising certificate for a continuous period of not less than 5 years.
