Section 173

A person must not, except in a casino or on premises within any designated site, have in the person’s possession chips of the aggregate value of $10,000 or more, or such other amount as may be prescribed in substitution thereof.

Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $150,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years or to both.
