Section 174

Forgery and counterfeiting

(1)

A person must not —

(a)

forge or counterfeit chips, a chip purchase voucher, a match play coupon, a licence under this Act or a special employee’s form of identification; or

(b)

use as genuine a forged or counterfeit chip purchase voucher, match play coupon, licence under this Act or special employee’s form of identification, knowing or having reason to believe the same to be forged or counterfeit.

(2)

Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction —

(a)

in the case of an individual, to a fine not exceeding $150,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 7 years or to both; or

(b)

in the case of a corporation, to a fine not exceeding $300,000.
