Regulation 6

Verification of certificates

Subregulation 1

A competent authority must ensure that its website is capable of being used to verify certificates issued by the authority in the manner described in this regulation.

Subregulation 2

A person who wishes to verify a document purporting to be a certificate issued by the competent authority may —

(a)

access the website of the authority (whether by scanning the Quick Response code on the document or by any other means); and

(b)

provide the verification code on the document in the manner stated on the website.

Subregulation 3

Thereafter, if the certificate is in fact issued by the competent authority, the website must show the information stated on the certificate.

Subregulation 4

To avoid doubt, the website need not show any other information in respect of the certificate or the certified Singapore public document.
