Short title and commencement
This Act may be cited as the Betting and Sweepstake Duties (Amendment) Act, 1981, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of April 1981.

Short title and commencement
This Act may be cited as the Betting and Sweepstake Duties (Amendment) Act, 1981, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of April 1981.
Amendment of section 2
Section 2 of the Betting and Sweepstake Duties Act is amended —
by deleting the word “ten” in subsection (1) and substituting the word “fifteen”; and
by inserting, immediately after subsection (2), the following subsection: —“(3) The Minister may, from time to time, by order reduce or increase either or both of the rates of the duty specified in this section.”.
