Clause 10

Regulations

(1)

The Minister may make regulations respecting the constitution, general government, discipline and training of the Corps and generally for carrying out the purposes of this Ordinance.

(2)

In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such regulations may —

(a)

prescribe the manner in which, and conditions subject to which, persons desiring to be enrolled may offer themselves under this Ordinance, and the form of declaration to be taken by such person;

(b)

prescribe the conditions of physical fitness required of members of the Corps and of persons applying for enrolment;

(c)

prescribe the training to be undergone by members of the Corps;

(d)

prescribe the attendance at courses of instruction and training of members of the Corps;

(e)

prescribe the seniority of officers of the Corps and provide for the entry, confirmation, appointment and promotion to, or tenure of, officer rank in the Corps;

(f)

provide for the advancement or reversion in rank of cadets of the Corps; and

(g)

provide for the award of compensation in respect of death and personal injuries.
